Learn how to measure your dog's neck.

What to use
A tape measure is the best thing you can use. If you don't have one, you can use some type of string and do exactly as below and then use a ruler to measure the string.

Important tip!
When you measure, make sure there is enough room between the collar and your dog's neck. Place two fingers under the tape measure and lay them flat against your dog's neck.

For martingales collars
You need to both measure the part of the neck where the collar stays on and the widest part of the skull.

For fixed collars (non adjustable sizes)
You need to measure the part of the neck where the collar stays on.

For size adjustable collars
You need to both measure the part of the neck where the collar stays on and the widest part of the skull.
